How I handle enquiries, project information and your privacy choices.
The geographical business address still needs to be confirmed. These legal pages must be completed before they are used as final business disclosures or project terms.
Who is responsible?
Craig Alexander Stewart, trading as AnCasper
Independent freelancer based in Scotland, United Kingdom.
Email: c.a.stewart@ancasper.co.uk
I am the controller of personal information collected through this website and my business correspondence. This notice covers the AnCasper service website and enquiries. A linked forum or third-party platform may have its own notice and storage practices.
What information I use
- Enquiries: your name, email, service, project description, budget and timescale. Business name, phone number and website are optional.
- Project work: correspondence, agreed requirements, feedback, invoices and information you authorise me to access to deliver the work.
- Website security: the form session, a hashed network identifier and timestamps used to limit repeated submissions. The host may process IP addresses and access logs to operate and secure the service.
- Campaign labels: if you choose “Share campaign labels with an enquiry”, labels from a tagged link can accompany your enquiry. The service page you enquire from may be included to explain the request. They are not a browser profile or a mailing-list signup.
- Display choices: theme, reduced-motion and notice choices stay in your browser; they are not attached to your enquiry.
Providing information is voluntary. Without the required enquiry details I may be unable to assess or respond to a request. Do not send passwords, payment-card details or sensitive personal information through the form.
Why I use it
- Discussing and delivering your project: steps you ask me to take before a contract, and performance of a contract with you.
- Business contacts: legitimate interests in responding to representatives of a business or community and managing that relationship.
- Security, administration and disputes: legitimate interests in preventing abuse, keeping reliable records, understanding the service requested and establishing or defending legal claims.
- Optional campaign attribution: your consent to include campaign labels. Turn this off in Privacy & display settings at any time. Declining does not affect your enquiry or ability to browse. Earlier lawful processing is unaffected; contact me if you want labels removed from an enquiry already received.
- Accounts and tax records: compliance with applicable legal obligations.
I do not sell enquiry information or add you to a marketing list when you contact me. Accepting the privacy bar is an acknowledgement, not the legal basis for all of this processing. Project enquiries are reviewed by a person; there is no automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects.
How long information is kept
Enquiry correspondence is kept while it is needed to respond, prepare a quote or follow up a discussion. If a project follows, relevant records are kept while needed to deliver and support it, meet accounting or tax obligations, or resolve a complaint or legal claim. The criteria are the status of the enquiry or project, the applicable record-keeping requirements and whether a dispute remains open. Information no longer needed should be removed through mailbox and file reviews.
The form cookie is a session cookie. Browser session restoration may keep it longer than a single window. Server-side session removal follows the hosting configuration. Rate-limit timestamps older than one hour stop counting; old rate-limit files are cleared during later valid form requests. Hosting access-log retention depends on the hosting configuration.
See the cookie information for display and notice-storage durations and controls. This form does not maintain a public enquiry database.
Your rights and objections
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, by emailing c.a.stewart@ancasper.co.uk. I will consider your circumstances and stop unless there is a lawful reason to continue.
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restricted use or a portable copy of information. These rights have conditions and exceptions, including information that must be retained for legal obligations or claims. If a future optional feature relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful use.
Contact me using the email above. I may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity before disclosing data. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Links, younger visitors and updates
Leaving for Google or opening a portfolio link takes you to another service with its own privacy practices. No enquiry content is added to the Google exit link.
The enquiry service is intended for prospective clients who can enter a contract. A parent, guardian or authorised adult should handle enquiries and agreements for younger creators. Do not submit children’s personal data unless necessary and agreed for the project.
I will update this notice when the website or processing changes. Material changes will be explained where appropriate; the version date appears above.
